The Drive: What challenges have you overcome?
Sourcing products that are both reliable and a reasonable price has been a challenge. It has taken me a few years to get the right suppliers in place, and now I have two or three manufacturers that make most of our products. I know that I can rely upon them and the quality that they produce.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
Running your own business gives a great sense of achievement and has the flexibility to fit around family life. Unfortunately, being the boss means that everything stops with you. It can be hard to turn your mind off ‘work mode’ in the evening and at weekends.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
We’ve got some great new products in the pipeline for NappyNeedz. I’ve been working on a cloth nappy for older children, particularly at night time. We want to keep offering exceptional value, reliable cloth nappies and reusable menstrual products, helping to make them available for all Kiwis.
