Green is the New Black

  • Steer clear of plastics, especially those with BPA. There are so many options for tableware and containers which are made of bamboo, corn, ceramic or glass. Plastics are bad news on so many levels from their production and chemical leaching to making your food taste like the plastic itself….yuck!
  • Look for natural dyes. Gone are the days of beige being the colour of choice for environmentally friendly products. There are a vast array of gorgeous products in most colours of the rainbow and which are safe for you.
  • Try something new. With the movement toward a more environmentally friendly marketplace, there are so many amazing materials that are becoming easier to find. Bamboo, organic cotton, corn fibre and natural rubber. Look out for them and give them a go. Reusable containers are also a fantastic way to go. Just refill and go!
  • Stay away from chemicals. There are an amazing number of new skin care and baby care items available today that utilise natural products as the base of their range. Goats milk soaps, herbal shampoos, bees wax lip balm, botanical skin care and calendula nappy cream….the lists are endless. They smell amazing too!
  • Last but not least keep away from products tested on animals. It’s a no brainer. If the products need to be tested on animals first, are they natural and safe in the first place? Being kind to the environment includes our animals too and frankly there are way too many amazing products on the market today which have not been tested on animals.

Today it is so much easier to find products that are not only good for you and your family, they are also great for the environment and support smaller business. To have a look at some products that support these ideals, visit us at www.BizzyBubsAustralia.com. Green certainly is the New Black, but it doesn’t have to only be beige.
