In a World of Fast Fashion, Let’s Slow it Down to Child’s Pace

At Wander, you’ll notice that a lot of their styles are trans-seasonal – so they can be worn in the warmer seasons with bare feet, or with socks or tights during the cooler months, extending their life so they can be passed along to the next sibling or friends.

Wander’s current shoe range include classics such as T-bars, roman sandals, moccasins and oxford boots. These styles never go out of fashion and we all have memories of wearing similar shoes. They have brought in a few complimentary styles to the range over the last year, and this year they will add more.

“The biggest struggle is finding sandals that parents would put on their boys that I personally like,” Nyssa says. “The Rome style we carry is definitely the biggest seller.”

This winter they are introducing a new style of boot called Ryder, based around the classic jodhpur boot with the double gusset. Ryder will come in three different colours and will be available from mid-April.

If you are interested in slowing down – choose handmade garments and items at a higher quality, made from more sustainable processes, in smaller collections. Celebrate the craftspeople, the small businesses like Wander. Shop small, shop local. What is the hurry, anyway?
