Love Pod Baby is your one-stop shop for premium natural products for babies, children, mums and dads! A family owned and run business that came into being after the birth of the first grandchild. Mum and nana Judy wanted to help her daughter Jill in any way she could as she navigated her way through her first year of being a mum. Jill, a new mum and qualified naturopath, wanted to find only the best products for her baby and of course wanted products that would not only help her beautiful boy but would also help her through the challenges of parenthood. We spoke to Jill to find out more about how they got started.
The passion: What inspired you to set up your business?
I am a naturopath and a mum and have always been passionate about health and creating a healthy environment for my family. Through my education on preconception, pregnancy and children, along with my own personal experience, I realized just how much our diet and our environment impacts our health and that of our children. I created this business to help other mums and mums-to-be navigate their way to creating a healthier life for their families.
The Launch: How did you start out in the beginning?
We initially started out with our Love Pod Baby sling. I fell in love with baby carrying with my first baby and could not imagine my life without it. We set out to create a baby sling with all the features I wanted and from there we created our website to provide a range of products that we trusted to use with our own families and would recommend to others.
The innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?
I think our biggest breakthrough was the importance of living a low-tox life and providing the tools for others to do this. I have always found this important, however we have seen a huge shift in people now wanting to live a low-tox lifestyle and it is really wonderful to see.
