Learning to catch cockabullies or eels, climbing on rocks, climbing our first tree, hiding in the hay shed, sliding on roasting pans in the snow and building our first snow man, feeding the ducks and chasing seagulls at the seaside, collecting shells at the beach and trying to bury dad in the sand. The list goes on.Childhood memories are among one of the most precious gifts we give as parents. And our own childhood memories are often based on fun activities we have done outside.

We show all these things to our children and we laugh and learn again ourselves as we see how much wonder is in their eyes.

We are more hands-on than our parents were…so we need to find time to still offer that but give back some time for ourselves too.

Today, we have the pressures of a two-job family, the business of activities we enroll our children into. The dedication and time we spend with our children to ensure they have as many opportunities as possible and whilst trying to keep them safe. We are more hands-on than our parents were…so we need to find time to still offer that but give back some time for ourselves too.
