The Wytchs Haven: For All of Your Spiritual and Witchy Needs

The Drive: What challenges have you overcome?

Prejudice is the biggest challenge. We have found that it is OK to say that you are a Catholic, a Christian, a Muslim, etc, but when you openly admit to being a practicing witch, all of a sudden you may as well have said you sacrifice babies to the Devil. People who once spoke to you now no longer do, you are not invited to some markets as selling herbs and rocks is against the organizer’s religion. It’s a crazy world we live in. We just get on with life, and accept others for what their own beliefs are. We don’t argue with them, as they are entitled to their own opinions and beliefs.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

Always having to source stock at a good price. Worst part is not being able to source good priced products here in New Zealand. Best part is being able to keep in touch with old school friends once we all realized that we were in similar businesses and that this can be used to our advantage when sourcing quality products.

Hopes and dreams: What next?

We have begun branching out into teaching. We need to pass our knowledge on to those that wish to learn. Hopefully we can in the near future also find a shop with living quarters attached to it, so that we have a proper base from which to trade. We want to be able to offer a wider choice of metaphysical equipment, etc, as well. We have already started a Spiritual Development Programme, and hope to be able to expand on this (courses are currently being written). Our aim is to be the one place you can visit, or text, or email, that does not judge you for what you believe, or experience surrounding the dead and paranormal.
