What’s in your chocolate milk?

Coconut sugar contains a fibre called inulin, which may slow glucose absorption and explain why coconut sugar has a lower glycemic index than regular table sugar.

And because Berry Choc Chunk is made using cacao (the bean that chocolate is made from), there is still that great chocolatey taste, but made from real ingredients with real nutrients. This delicious chocolatey powder with a hint of berries, makes a yummy drink that is rich in calcium, magnesium, B vitamins and derived from natural whole foods. Perfect for growing minds, bodies and bones!

My teenage boys are convinced. Like all teenagers they love all things that they aren’t supposed to but thankfully they are loving this healthier alternative.

Here is a real life example. My youngest son (14) training schedule on Tuesday:

  • Footy training at school (1hr 40mins)
  • After school footy training (1hr 30mins)
  • Basketball training (1hr)

So, in that day, as well as just being an active teenager (like riding his bike to school etc) he will train for over 4 hours! That is a lot. Chocolate milk is not going to sustain him. The GI in the chocolate milk would lead him to a crash. So, the alternative (and his current favourite) 2 tsp Berry Choc Chunk, 1 tbsp Thriving Protein Vanilla mixed with lactose free milk and BOOM! Nourished. He has this between school footy and after school footy as he cannot eat at this time.
