Bringing resonance back to your womb Postpartum

For those of us who birthed years ago, or for those didn’t receive their children from wombs of their own, this process is still very much available and valid for you too. It is also very supportive when a pregnancy did not reach full term. Deepening and healing the connection to our womb can be initiated at any time during our lives. It’s never too late to begin, start again, or in fact remember, as I believe this connection is innate and longing to be restored.

To restore our connection to our pelvic bowl and womb we can spend time each day tuning into our bodies and getting to know its language. This may be a subtle whisper or a fierce call: be patient and loving. Try exploring rituals and practices that encourage nature connection and strengthen the relationship you have with the earthly energy of Papatuanuku Mother Earth.

This work can be powerful so please seek support of friends, family and, if necessary, therapists and health professionals during your journey. The following exercises are inspired by the work of Tami Kent – pioneer and expert in women’s pelvic health.

  • Gently tap the lower belly and pelvis with soft finger tips to awaken and restore a connection, notice how it feels on a subtle and physical level.
  • Send compassion down to your belly, womb and vagina with a warm inner smile.
  • Bless yourself daily and connect into the energy of Papatuanuku/Mother Earth. Visit the Reflections & Resources page at www.rataremedies.com/reflections to listen to a complementary guided blessing.
