Responsive parenting does not equal self-sacrifice

I believe I am worthy of meeting my own needs (just like I know my son is worthy of me meeting his) and I believe you are worthy of having your needs met too.

Are you finding it exhausting giving your child 110%?

Do you feel like you’ve lost yourself in motherhood and the relentless of parenting all day and all night? So much so that you might even find it hard to identify your own needs, let alone find a way to meet them.

Do you hear “it takes a village to raise a child” and yet it all seems to fall on you? You know you can’t keep doing this alone, but you struggle to accept offers of help, let alone straight out ask for it.

Do you feel like you’ve lost yourself in motherhood and the relentless of parenting all day and all night? So much so that you might even find it hard to identify your own needs, let alone find a way to meet them.

What if…

You could work through the blocks and guilt that come up for you in building your village, so that you could ask for help and not feel like you’re burdening others.

You could manage your overwhelming mental load and make sure sh*t still gets done, but reclaim some headspace and see where you’re not prioritising yourself, but could be.

You could shift your mindset so that mum guilt doesn’t stop you from looking after yourself and rather than feeling selfish for taking time out for yourself, you’ll see the benefits it has for your family.

Build your community. Understand and optimise sleep. Manage your mental load. Create a sustainable self-care practice. You are worthy.

If you have resonated with what I’ve written here (it is truly written from my heart), please reach out and tell me what is coming up for you – I want to be here for you – you do not have to do this alone.
