Christie Kelf is a Melbourne-based spirit baby, fertility and birth guide. Her role is to guide you through the spiritual and emotional aspects of fertility and birth to transcend blocks and be in resonance with your ideal reality. Understanding that we are holistic beings and all aspects of ourselves, our relationships, and our internal and external realities are inter-connected, Christie’s work extends far beyond spiritual and emotional, and fertility and birth. She is able to help you work through physical, relational, and personal issues that you may or may not realise are impacting your fertility or birth experience. Having been through her own fertility journey and with an innate fascination with womanhood and motherhood, Christie is extremely passionate about her work. Here she talks to The Natural Parent Magazine about the inspiration behind Motherbaby Consciousness, the challenges she has overcome, and her hopes and dreams for the future.
The passion: What inspired you to set up your business?
I started out on my own conception journey in 2020. My husband at the time and I were both young and healthy. We did all the “right” things – preconception blood work, worked with a naturopath, perfected our diet, started on high quality supplements, I became an expert in cycle tracking, was getting regular acupuncture, and we even saw a reiki practitioner. We were well and truly doing everything we knew to do to be at our optimal health physically, mentally, and energetically. Still, a year of trying came and went with no success. Our doctor ran tests and everything came back better than normal. We were assured that we were both exceptionally healthy. My husband’s sperm quality was above average, my eggs looked good and my tubes were clear. We were simply told to keep trying.
I didn’t understand. Each month of trying and failing brought heartbreak and confusion. I’d felt this profound connection to my spirit baby for so long. I was convinced we were going to conceive so easily. I started to seek spiritual answers. I saw a psychic, a spirit baby medium, and had a Quantum Consciousness session. None of which quite gave me the answers I was looking for. This is what made me realise there was a market for women like me – women looking beyond the physical world on their fertility journey. The one thing I knew after everything I’d been through was that we have the power to receive the knowledge we seek. We do not need answers from someone else. Nobody is more connected to their baby than a mother, even before that baby has been conceived.
I dove deep into studying Ultimate Consciousness and Spinal Energetics, and reading many books. I learnt all about emotional root causes, trauma and the nervous system, quantum physics and alternate realities, and birth as a physiological event. I meditated and received intuitive insight. I knew this was my calling. It quickly grew beyond just fertility. I started to realise the enormity of what I was destined to bring forth with my business. In a particularly profound meditation, I received the message that we are now entering a new cycle of life on Earth, and the babies coming in now and in the future are of a higher vibration than ever before and are here to anchor new frequencies and ways of being. We are energetic beings and I now know that addressing the root cause at the emotional and energetic levels is the only true way to heal.
I felt powerless in my fertility journey. Like I had to look outside myself to professionals for answers. All the while I had the answers inside me the whole time. I was trying to have a baby with the wrong person. He wasn’t destined to be the father of my babies. The moment I accepted that fact, my healing began in ways I cannot even begin to express. I am now becoming the mother I am destined to be and couldn’t have been in that past reality. I know that my babies, and so many of your babies, are destined to change the world. It’s our job as their mothers to heal at the deepest levels, and to raise our vibration to be an energetic match to our spirit babies so they can bring in as much light as possible to this planet. This isn’t just about conceiving and birthing babies. This is about humanity. How could I not be passionate about that?
The launch: How did you start out in the beginning?
Because I know so deeply that Motherbaby Consciousness is a soul purpose of mine, I thought I’d post a little bit on social media and things would just take off for me. I was wrong. Similar to my fertility journey, destiny doesn’t always mean easy. In hindsight, just as I am glad I did not conceive when I was longing for it so badly, I am glad my business did not take off so quickly. It has been, and continues to be, a beautiful unfolding, full of learning, shifting, and aligning with the entirety of what my work is truly meant to encompass. It’s definitely been a soft launch – a very soft, ongoing, ever-unfolding launch. It really couldn’t be any other way. This work doesn’t really fit the masculine mould of logic. I don’t feel the need to pursue clients. The more I embrace my own feminine power and allow my business to operate in her divine femininity, the more I am attracting aligned clients.
I’ve continued to study: becoming trauma informed, learning how to facilitate somatic experiencing, becoming a Pellowah Technique practitioner, and currently doing my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in my free time. I also created two higher consciousness journeys of my own to guide women in connecting deeply with their Spirit baby, and clear ancestral trauma. I’m still creating more resources for women and couples to utilise throughout the phases of conception and pregnancy. I’m still very much in the beginning phase in the sense that while my services are fully evolved, the business in of itself is still being cemented. I am truly enjoying the process of establishing my business and watching it be discovered by the women who I am ready and waiting to serve.
The innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?
While my business is still in the very early stages, it has already seen multiple iterations since its initial conception. The biggest breakthrough for me was the realisation that this work is about so much more than helping women conceive and birth their babies. It’s about so much more than connecting them to their spirit babies. It’s about a much larger collective shift happening. We are entering a new cycle on Earth, and humanity, along with the planet itself, is raising to a new, higher frequency. In one way, its an upgrade; in another, it’s a returning to our natural state of being.
There are so many people on Earth right now who are all contributing to this shift in their own way – each as important as the next. Motherbaby Consciousness is my contribution. This business isn’t something I just decided to do one day; it’s something I’ve felt deeply called to. I realise that my personal experiences with fertility were necessary for me to find and fulfil this calling. Once I understood the magnitude of the purpose behind my work, my mission has become clear to me.
The babies coming in who are carrying this frequency have their own special roles to play in this evolution of our planet. The reason healing and breaking generational cycles has become so prevalent today is because of this upgrade. It’s our job to do this work because the next generations aren’t destined for it. Those who will bring in these new frequencies have their own unique job for the betterment of mankind, and for them to fulfil that, they simply won’t have time to heal generational, birth, or childhood trauma. They also need mothers to be of a high enough vibration to be able to conceive, carry, and birth all the light they will be bringing in with them.
With this knowledge, I’ve been able to shape my services and products in a way that honours all the layers of what my job entails. I don’t just aim for women to conceive and birth their babies. I aim for women to conceive and birth their babies from a particular frequency. Together we achieve this by addressing the nervous system, subconscious mind, and energy body. Without this breakthrough, my work would not be as profound as it is now for myself or my clients.
Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
Currently, I am single with no children but right from the beginning I’ve been incredibly intentional in setting Motherbaby Consciousness up with the knowledge that I am going to be a wife and a mother in the future. I have seen myself travelling and homeschooling while working, so creating a business model that has flexibility has been paramount for me. That’s a huge reason why my work is entirely online – as well as the fact that I can reach women from all over the world this way. I will never over-work myself. To uphold my integrity with this work, it’s so important that I nurture myself, I listen to my body and my menstrual cycle, and I let my intuition guide me. I will never keep pushing myself to take on clients if I’m not in the right space for it at that moment. The services I provide and the women I serve are highly important to me. Ensuring that I’m only ever showing up for my business and my clients with gusto is of the utmost importance.
I’ve intentionally rejected the patriarchal business model of a 9-5, prioritising flexibility and balance in honour of my feminine nature and my future role as a wife and mother. I’ve rejected the belief that one needs to work hard to succeed. I don’t work hard, I work aligned. Aligned with my purpose and aligned with myself. I’m not a man. I won’t ever run this business in the ways men have designed the working world. I am a woman, serving women within the most feminine space there is. I have a healthy masculine within me that drives me forward and anchors my work into the physical, but my feminine is what determines when and how much I work to ensure I always show up for my clients in the best ways I can, and my feminine is what keeps me working in alignment with my mission so I’m able to succeed.
