For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The pros are that we are our own bosses and we can work to our own schedules, which are both very busy. But we make it work, and a couple of late nights every now and then gets us both caught up on our workload if the kids have taken priority.
The cons are that business owners never switch off. There is always something to be done or organise. Our ‘to-do’ lists are endless, and if something gets ticked off, two more things are added. But to run a successful business, this is the mentality that is needed.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
We would love to continue providing breastfeeding mothers with our cookies and supplements, which are available throughout New Zealand, Australia and beyond. We also have some very exciting new products in the pipeline for 2025!
