Founded from her own personal journey into motherhood, Renei Kelt created Bhone Beauty to provide mothers with a simple, nourishing solution to support their wellbeing. After struggling with exhaustion, hair loss and gut health issues postpartum, Renei searched for a natural, wholefood remedy that she could trust during pregnancy and breastfeeding. On discovering the incredible benefits of bone broth, she also realised how time-consuming it was to make, so set out to create something better: high-quality, nutrient-rich Beauty Broths and Beauty Blends designed to simplify self-care for busy mothers, empowering them to prioritise their health with ease. Here Renei talks to The Natural Parent Magazine about the passion behind her business, the challenges she has overcome, and her hopes and dreams for the future.

The Passion: What inspired you to set up your business? 

Bhone Beauty was born from my own journey into motherhood. After having my daughter, Sienna, I felt tired – my hair was falling out, my gut health was off, and my immune system felt weak. I knew I needed more protein, collagen for my hair and skin, probiotics for my digestion, and vitamin C to keep my immune system strong. I found myself juggling multiple supplements, trying to piece together everything my body needed. Finding a natural solution that I could trust to put into my body while pregnant and breastfeeding was hard…until I discovered bone broth. It became my daily ritual, but the process of making it from scratch was time-consuming, and I didn’t love the taste. That’s when I knew I needed to create something better: a simple, nourishing, and delicious solution that made wellness effortless for mothers. 

The Launch: How did you start out in the beginning? 

Bhone started as a personal solution to a widespread problem. While making my own bone broth at home, I realised how transformative it was for my energy, gut health, and overall recovery. But I also saw how impractical it was for most busy mothers – preparing high-quality bone broth took hours! I knew there had to be a way to retain the integrity of traditional bone broth while making it easy and enjoyable to consume. I spent years researching, testing, and working alongside food scientists to perfect high-quality formula that delivered maximum benefits. Bhone Beauty launched on March 10, 2025, with two key products: Beauty Broths and Beauty Blends, each crafted to provide essential nutrients in a form that seamlessly fits into daily life. 

The Innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?

One of the biggest breakthroughs was realising that so many mothers were experiencing the same struggle I had gone through – exhaustion, hair loss, gut issues, and the challenge of finding a wholefood, natural way to support their bodies. I knew there had to be a better way – a single, nourishing solution that provided essential nutrients without the overwhelming need for multiple supplements. 

To ensure this wasn’t just my own personal experience, we conducted research gathering survey results from over 300 mothers and women in our target audience to understand their struggles, preferences, and needs. The overwhelming response validated what I had personally experienced – mothers wanted simplicity, convenience, and effectiveness in their wellness routine. Before launch, we had over 200 women test the product and provide feedback, allowing us to refine and perfect Bhone based on real-world experiences. 

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family? 

Balancing motherhood and running a business is an ongoing challenge, but I’ve learned to embrace simplicity and intentionality in all aspects of my life. Just as Bhone is designed to simplify wellness, I try to keep my focus on what truly matters – being present for my daughter while growing a brand that I deeply believe in. I make space for non-negotiable rituals, like morning journaling, exercising and meditation, and I’ve learned to set boundaries to avoid burnout. Bhone was created for mothers, but also busy people, and I remind myself daily that I need to live the values of the brand.
