Bump & Bub Chiro is the creation of chiropractors Dr Lucy and Dr Vanessa, two Sydney mums who share a passion for nurturing women, babies and growing families. Drawing on their own experiences of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood, they’ve built a supportive online directory that helps parents find family-focused chiropractic care with ease. Whether you’re preparing for birth or helping your baby through their earliest milestones, gentle chiropractic care can make all the difference. Here, they talk to The Natural Parent Magazine about the passion behind their business, how they balance work and family, the challenges they have overcome, and their hopes and dreams for the future.
The passion: What inspired you to set up your business?
Bump & Bub Chiro grew out of our shared love for supporting mums, babies and growing families. As chiropractors, and mums ourselves, we’ve both experienced how transformative pregnancy, birth and early parenthood can be. We wanted to make it easier for other parents to find gentle, trusted chiropractic care from practitioners who truly understand this stage of life.

The launch: How did you start out in the beginning?
It all began with chats between Dr Lucy from Nomad Chiropractic and Dr Vanessa from Inborn Vitality – two busy mums swapping stories about parenting and practice life. We realised that so many families were searching online for pregnancy and baby chiropractors but didn’t know where to start. So we created Bump & Bub Chiro, a simple, supportive directory to help Sydney families connect with experienced, family-focused chiropractors nearby.
The innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?
Our biggest “aha!” moment came when we saw how collaboration could make such a difference. By combining our experience, networks and shared vision, we created something far more meaningful than either of us could have done alone. Watching the directory grow, and hearing from families who’ve found the right chiropractor for them, has been so rewarding.

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
It’s definitely a dance! With young children, the juggle is real. Some days flow beautifully; others are pure chaos. We’ve learnt to embrace the ebb and flow, to be kind to ourselves, and to set boundaries where we can. Having supportive partners and teams – and remembering that “balance” doesn’t mean “perfect” – keeps us grounded.
