The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
There is no other modality like ours, so carving a path has had some challenges. For a wellbeing modality like ours, where we use the word ‘chakra’ and is quite unique in its approach, the world wasn’t quite ready for us when we started 12 years ago (Chakradance for adults 25 years ago).
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
There are, of course, a number of pros and cons to running your own business.
Pros:
- Waking up every day to do work that we are passionate about.
- Knowing that we are making a difference not only to children lives now but for generations. The healing we are seeing and hearing about from our Facilitators, parents, educators, etc., is phenomenal.
- Connecting and meeting like-minded people. It really does take a global village, and ours continues to grow.
Cons:
- It can be difficult to switch off at times, as it is a passion.
- Pioneering a new modality has had its challenges, but it’s also part of the joy and drive of running a business like this.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
We are currently working on some exciting new deliverable programs for educators in both the early years and primary sectors. Later this year, we will be launching some magical new wellbeing tools and products for kids to use in the home.
We also have Chakradance Kids Birthday parties coming. We can’t wait to launch our wellbeing birthday parties!
We have big dreams and goals for Chakradance Kids and the impact we can make. We would love to establish a charity organisation in the future and ensure that we leave a powerful legacy for generations to come.
