Mindfulness Meditation & Naturopathic Support to Empower Women through Pregnancy & Motherhood

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?

Balancing work and family life is like finding harmony between Yin and Yang energies. My approach involves maintaining a structured schedule during school hours to focus on work while the kids are at school. This allows me to be productive without interruptions. During school holidays or family needs, I adjust my work hours to ensure flexibility and attention to both work and family commitments.

Clear communication with both work and family members helps set expectations and ensures everyone is aware of my availability. I prioritise self-care activities to recharge and stay balanced, allowing me to be present and focused in both work and family roles.

When needed, I delegate tasks and seek support from family or childcare services, fostering a collaborative approach in managing responsibilities effectively. I make sure to spend quality time with my family during non-work hours, engaging in activities that strengthen our bond and create meaningful memories.

By embracing these strategies, I aim to achieve a harmonious balance between work and family, embodying the Yin and Yang energies in my daily life.

The drive: What challenges have you overcome?

At the end of last year, I lost my father. It was incredibly difficult and painful to think about my work while worrying about my father’s illness. My father may not have fully understood the details of my work, but he knew that I was helping people in need and working for the health of others. He supported me in that.

As time has passed, my emotions have settled a bit, and now I feel like my father is watching over me from nearby.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

The pros are that I can determine my own working hours and make decisions based on my own opinions.

As for cons, I must do things I’m not good at, like marketing. My range of thinking and ideas might be limited. Everything, for better or worse, becomes 100% my responsibility.

Hopes and dreams: What next?

I’m looking to create a pregnancy mindfulness group specifically designed for full-time workers experiencing their first pregnancy and managing busy work schedules. My aim is to provide a comfortable, safe space where these women can connect with others in similar situations, offering support and understanding. Through focusing on their maternal bodies and practising mindfulness, they can nurture a deeper connection with their babies in their tummies, fostering a sense of bonding and serenity.

Additionally, as a qualified Naturopath, I’m here to offer guidance and support regarding their holistic health needs whenever necessary 😊
