Driven by her own health journey and a commitment to giving her children the strongest possible foundation, Julia Rudakova is on a mission to help families thrive. Now a qualified naturopath, herbalist, nutritionist, homeopath and functional breathing practitioner, she supports families locally and internationally to move beyond symptom management and into lasting, whole-body health. What began as research for her own family has evolved into Oxygen Revolution, a thriving naturopathic practice dedicated to supporting families to restore health naturally, reconnect with their bodies, and raise resilient, healthy children in an increasingly complex world. Here, Julia talks to The Natural Parent Magazine about the passion behind her business, the challenges she has overcome, and her hopes and dreams for the future.
The passion: What inspired you to set up your business?
My journey into natural health started after going through my own health challenges and wanting to do the best I could for my children’s health. I went on to qualify as a naturopath, herbalist, nutritionist, homeopath and Buteyko breathing practitioner.
What began with just research for my family and myself turned into a career I was so passionate about that I cannot see myself retiring. My mission is to help families thrive in this earthly life.

The launch: How did you start out in the beginning?
My business had a rough start – I had moved to a new area, I had a toddler and a teenager to look after, no family around and no established network in the new area. On top of that, after two years since starting my business, Covid hit and I had to pivot online, which was a blessing as now I can reach people from all over the country and abroad – I have clients in New Zealand, the UK and Europe. I truly started from scratch and proved myself to be a trusted naturopathic practitioner.
The innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?
The biggest breakthrough for my business was combining my Functional Breathing Program with HTMA testing (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis), which allowed me to get better long-lasting results for my clients. In fact, the HTMA test, which is a non-invasive test and can be used for babies and the elderly, has given my clients a deeper insight into how their body works and more appreciation for it. This testing has given my clients motivation and has brought great results for resolving various health problems, such as behavioural issues in children, sleep disturbances, lack of energy and metabolic syndrome to name a few.
Applying the knowledge of Advanced Homeopathy (I have a postgrad in this modality) helped me address persistent health problems, such as asthma, chronic inflammatory conditions and hormonal issues.

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
I believe that work-life balance is a made-up concept, which does not hold in real life. I think creating a life where there is no separation between different areas of life would be my ideal scenario. What I mean by that is when my work is part of how I live, what I talk to my children about, what my partner is interested in, it all becomes one wholesome life. Another important thing about perceived balance is presence. When I feel 100% present in what I do – being with a client, working out their prescription, cooking dinner, taking my dog for a walk, spending time with my family – it brings me to balance. When there is no other place I need to be, I am balanced, grounded and aligned.
