It is so common for new parents to worry that their baby isn’t sleeping through the night. After all, isn’t that what “good babies” do? Actually, no! See, babies are actually perfectly designed to wake at night, and there are great reasons why.
Researchers from The College of Human and Health Sciences at Swansea University challenge the idea that babies should be sleeping through the night and also disprove the myth that stopping breastfeeding or giving more solid food to babies helps them to sleep longer at night. Here is a great little animated video they created with the results of their research:
