Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
It’s a tough balance sometimes! I work at night and focus on my family during the day. There isn’t much downtime, but I am so passionate about Over the Dandelions that it doesn’t feel like work.
The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
The baby and children’s toys and teething products require vigorous testing to meet NZ toy safety standards. Safety is our number one priority and I wanted to make sure our products not only met these standards but exceeded them.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The biggest pro for me is that I can run Over the Dandelions around my family. I want to spend these incredibly special days with my children, and having my own business allows me to do that.
The con I guess is that it never stops. I’m always thinking about Over the Dandelions (it’s like another baby!)
Hopes and dreams: What next?
I want to grow our range this year, keeping an emphasis on organic materials and unique designs.
