The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
Imposter syndrome! This is a huge challenge for me. I have a demand avoidant autistic profile too. I often need to reword requests from people so that they become something that I would like to complete, not something that I have to do.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
I spend the hours that I can working. It must work around my kids and our lives otherwise it becomes impossible.
The cons are having to know every strand of a business. You can’t just be good at social media marketing – you must also know how to run the website, what is coming in and out the bank and that your clients are happy with your work.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
My hope is to continue bringing in new specialists to the network, expanding the knowledge and expertise on the team and sharing with more families. I would love to welcome birth workers from Australia and the US!
