The days of now are magic.
But I have not forgotten those months of silence and screaming, of the desperation of my endless waiting for something to break up the monotony and the struggle.
I know there are women there now, feeling stuck in the same place I was. Feeling lost to the newness of motherhood, trapped in isolation, scared and lonely.
I know their struggle.
I know it can feel like there will never be good days again.
Please hang in there, sweet mumma.
Find whatever you need to cling to in order to keep afloat through this storm.
But I am living proof that the days of fear and longing do pass.
The darkness makes way for a light that can’t even be imagined until you feel it’s rays shining upon you.
Please hang in there, sweet mumma.
Find whatever you need to cling to in order to keep afloat through this storm.
It doesn’t last forever, and you will make it through to the other side.
…and once you’re there, you’ll almost forget there was ever a time, where the most exciting thing to happen in a day, was the sound of mail in the letterbox.
I promise.
