I’m here to be a voice, to advocate for those mums who follow behind me. For those mums-to-be who miscarry, for those mums-to-be who want to share their news when it feels right for them – not out of fears that society instils in them.
I am currently 9 weeks pregnant, after my miscarriage in January. I’m sharing my journey openly.
Early pregnancy is physically, mentally and emotionally difficult.
It’s a time when we need support, care and love. It’s not a time to pretend we’re OK when we’re not, to pretend we aren’t pregnant, to pretend we aren’t anxious, on an emotional rollercoaster, feeling nauseous and fatigued. It’s a time to celebrate all that it is to be a woman, growing new life.
Please join me in supporting those mums-to-be coming next. Let’s start normalising these conversations.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on opening up the early pregnancy conversation! Drop a comment below and come join the conversation on my social media!
