Evidence-Based Natural & Holistic Solutions for Your Unique Medical Needs

Perth Health Collective

Perth Health Collective is a holistic health clinic based in Mount Lawley, providing inclusive, evidence-based care focusing on building the foundations of health. Holly Moore and Sarah Davies believe in a holistic approach to health, addressing the root causes of health concerns rather than simply treating symptoms. Using their expertise and experience, they work alongside you to create personalised treatment plans focused on nourishing the body, mind, and spirit. They take pride in offering a warm and welcoming environment where you can feel supported and empowered on your path to better health. Here Holly and Sarah talk to The Natural Parent Magazine about the inspiration behind Perth Health Collective, how they balance work and family time, the pros and cons of running their own business, and their hopes and dreams for the future.

The passion: What inspired you to set up your business?

We wanted to create a natural health clinic where nutrition was the first and main focus: a place where clients felt heard and cared for. Our inspiration came from the belief that nutrition is the cornerstone of health and wellness. We saw a need for a space where clients could receive thorough and appropriate investigations, providing them with the answers they seek. Our goal is to empower clients to take control of their health and wellbeing through long-term, sustainable changes. We enjoy working with all stages of life from preconception right through to menopause/andropause and beyond.

The launch: How did you start out in the beginning?

We met each other while working in another clinic together and we felt that our healing philosophies aligned, and we saw an opportunity to create a welcoming, non-judgmental, evidence-based practice that focused on the foundations of nutrition. We saw more and more, through ourselves and through our clients, that there was a need for a space that could provide community for both our clients and our team. As mothers, we understand the importance of a village and how profound this impact can be on health and wellbeing.

The innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?

Early in the business journey, one business partner decided to step away from PHC, and this forced us to solidify and recognise the values that we share and gain clarity around the direction we wanted to take the business. We realised that our offering is unique and we leant into that, because we strongly believe in the power of clinical nutrition and are passionate about sharing this among the community.

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?

This is an ongoing struggle for us because we deeply care about our clients and what we are building. As we grow, we are learning to implement strategies to help us both manage the juggle between work and family. We share the load equally with work. We split the ownership tasks down the middle and we both consult in the clinic part-time. Communication is key and we have learned that we need to be honest with each other when our family needs are to come first. The beauty of our partnership is that we both have small children and we understand the challenges that come with that, so we can lean on each other in times of need. Sometimes, we may plan meetings at times/places so our kids can play together, and we can get some work done. We believe this sets a positive example for our children, as mothers and business owners, and we also see the beauty in our children playing and growing together as we watch our business grow around them.
