After completing her naturopathy studies and having two babies, Rhiannah Pohlman launched Nature and Soul to help fellow mums looking for natural ways to balance their hormones and feel happier and healthier. She wants to reach out to new mums who feel exhausted, unmotivated and just not themselves: mums who have been through the best and the worst times and want to feel empowered and energised. She is passionate about educating and guiding women to overcome overwhelm, regain their energy levels and feel vibrant and happy again. With her gentle and empathetic approach, she wants to revolutionise prenatal care and make it easily accessible to all women.
The passion: What inspired you to set up your business?
I spent 8 years studying for my qualifications and during this time, I had two babies. I knew once I graduated, I wanted to be able to set my own hours and work for myself. My first son’s birth was quite traumatic and I had postnatal depression and PTSD, and this just drove my passion to support other mums through these feelings. So, I decided to give it my all and set up my business so that I can help other mums who have been through the same with the help of being a Naturopath!
The launch: How did you start out in the beginning?
Just like this! This is the beginning for me. It has been very exciting AND terrifying but I have been giving it my all and making it work! I have been slowly growing my blog and social media and just getting myself out there.
The innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?
I think I will always be having breakthroughs. At the moment, it’s realising that being a Naturopath doesn’t have to mean working 1:1 with people. So I am eager to be able to teach many people at once, be diverse in how I offer my services and just have fun while I’m at it. My mantra for this year for business is ‘Ease & Grace’ – so I’m taking that with me as I go.
