Thoughtfully Crafted Teas to Soothe & Nourish the Whole Family

Teagram Studio

At Teagram Studio, every blend tells a story – one of love, care, and the small but powerful rituals that bring comfort to everyday life. Born in the heart of Pearl Kaur’s kitchen during the early, sleep-deprived days of motherhood, this brand grew from a simple need: to soothe, nourish, and create moments of calm in the beautiful chaos of family life. What started as a way to help her young daughter through endless colds soon became something bigger – a collection of thoughtfully crafted teas designed to support parents and children alike. More than just a cup of tea, Teagram Studio is an invitation to slow down, savour the moment, and find warmth in the simplest acts of care. Here Pearl talks to The Natural Parent Magazine about the passion behind her business, how she balances work and family life, the challenges she has overcome, and her hopes and dreams for the future.

The passion: What inspired you to set up your business?

Teagram Studio began in the warmth of my home kitchen, during those beautifully chaotic early years of motherhood – the kind where you’re running on two hours of sleep, reheating the same cup of tea three times, and Googling “how to survive another cold season with a toddler”. My little daughter was constantly battling colds and flus – as little ones do – and I found myself turning to homemade teas as a gentle, natural way to bring her comfort.

I wasn’t a professional herbalist or nutritionist; I was just a tired mum who wanted something simple and soothing to help her feel better (and, let’s be honest, give myself something to focus on during those long nights). I started blending herbs with love and care, using ingredients I trusted, hoping to ease her symptoms and create a little calm for us both. Long story short, Fairy Magic Tea – our go-to remedy and now one of the heartbeats of Teagram Studio.

But here’s the part I didn’t expect; making tea wasn’t just helping her – it was helping me, too. That small ritual of boiling the kettle, measuring the herbs, and wrapping my hands around a warm cup gave me a rare moment to pause. It grounded me in the chaos of parenthood and reminded me that sometimes, the tiniest acts of care are the most powerful.

And that’s when the bigger idea started brewing (pun absolutely intended). What if I could create a range of teas designed to support other families like ours? Blends that didn’t just taste good, but served a purpose. Teas that honoured traditions, nurtured wellness, and created little mindful moments of calm – even when your house looks like a toy explosion and someone’s always asking for snacks.

Teagram Studio isn’t just about what’s in the cup. It’s about making space for slow, meaningful rituals in the busiest, messiest seasons of life – with blends designed to support you and your little ones every step of the way.

The launch: How did you start out in the beginning?

It all started with the teas I was already making for my daughter and myself – ones that soothed sore throats, calmed little minds before bedtime, and gave me the energy boost I desperately needed to make it through the chaos.

Once I realised how much these simple blends were helping us, I got curious. I dived deep into research – herbs, sourcing, sustainability, packaging that wouldn’t leave me feeling guilty about the planet (because who needs more mum guilt, honestly?). I spent my evenings reading, testing, tasting, and tweaking.

With a small, carefully crafted collection and a lot of cheerleading from family and friends, I launched Teagram Studio online. It started slow and small – which felt right. I wanted to create something meaningful from day one. Every ingredient, every design choice, every word on the packaging was made with the same love and attention I put into that very first cup of Fairy Magic Tea. And it turns out, there were plenty of other parents out there craving the same kind of gentle, nourishing support.

The innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?

The biggest lightbulb moment came when I realised it wasn’t just me. So many parents were out there craving the exact same thing: tiny, feel-good rituals that fit into the chaos.

Once I started sharing the real stories behind each blend – like Fairy Magic Tea for the endless cold season or Bear’s Hug Tea to wind down after a day of high-energy parenting – people responded in the most beautiful way. Suddenly, this wasn’t just about tea anymore. It was about helping people find little pauses in their day. Moments to breathe. Moments to feel taken care of.

And while yes, some of our blends are all about the practical stuff – soothing coughs, helping everyone sleep – they’re also designed to bring joy back into the routine. Which is exactly why we have cocktail-inspired teas. Because I’m a big believer that you deserve a tiny celebration at the end of a long day of being “Mum” or “Dad”. Whether that’s an Espresso Martini tea to keep you powering through or an Apple Mojito mocktail to enjoy once the kids are finally in bed, these blends exist to make ordinary moments feel a bit more magical – no babysitter required.

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?

The short answer? I don’t. Not perfectly, anyway.

But honestly, that’s kind of the beauty of Teagram Studio – it’s built around my family life, not despite it. My daughter has been part of this business from day one. She’s my assistant, my taste-tester, my tiny CEO-in-training.

Work and parenting blur together in our house. Emails get answered during snack time. Orders get packed after bedtime. Ideas get scribbled down while I’m waiting outside dance class. It’s messy and imperfect, but it works.

And when it doesn’t? We make tea, sit on the couch, and remind ourselves why we’re doing this. This business was never meant to be another source of stress. It’s a reflection of our life – slow, intentional, and full of love (and occasional chaos).
