Inspiring Families on their Journey to Good Health & Nourishment

The drive: What challenges have you overcome?

I have faced more than a few personal challenges in my short life. Most recently working through leaving my full-time job to pursue my passion, I felt like I was risking the loss of my identity and security, and I definitely worried far too much about what other people would think of me. It has been a great challenge but also the most amazing period of growth for me and I strongly believe in every situation I can find something positive when I look for it.

I’m excited by digital when I am not overwhelmed. Social media is a constant challenge. Balancing time on these platforms is challenging but also learning how to get it right and remain authentic.

I have also learned about managing people as our team has grown.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

Before you rush to swap places with me, I must tell you that running a business is in some ways harder than working for someone else. I believe it’s about finding the right pieces to the puzzle and it is absolutely worthwhile long term after the short term blood, sweat and tears.

Flexibility is a pro. I can be at any of my children’s events at any time of the day and it also means that I can be there for my customers at any time of the day.

Choosing the people I surround myself with is incredibly important to me and this business is the ultimate opportunity to connect with like-minded whole foodies. I honestly enjoy helping my team and customers get the most out of their Thermomix so much and love how this leads me to meeting so many interesting people.

I think my downfall is that there are so many things that I am excited to do that I can feel like I’m not getting there fast enough.

It is amazing when you can find the sweet spot between your passion, skill set and some balance between work and family life. I feel very grateful to be in this space right now.

Hopes and dreams: What next?

The voyage is far from over and we are about to embark on another exciting chapter by having a new baby in the mix in mid December!

I feel there is still enormous room for growth in our region and am not ruling out expanding my Little Bare products portfolio (currently on hold!).

After studying health science in my younger days because it was ‘the thing to do’, I am now considering further study in areas that I am genuinely interested in and can’t wait to get stuck into this in the new year.

Visit the Little Bare website to find out more, and join their communities on Facebook and Instagram.
