We are nearing the end of 2018 and a multitude of babies have been born this year and carefully named by their parents. Babycenter have released a list of the top baby names for 2018 – is your baby’s name trending right now?
Sophia still tops the list for girls – that’s nine consecutive years at the top! While Jackson (and its new spelling Jaxon) remains the most popular boys name for the sixth year running.
New arrivals into the top 20 this year are Everly, Isla, Leo, and Carson.
Note: To capture true popularity, their exclusive baby names list combines names that sound the same but have multiple spellings (like Sophia and Sofia, or Jackson and Jaxon). More than 742,000 parents shared their baby’s name with Babycentre in 2018.
