The Drive: What challenges have you overcome?
The biggest challenge has been internal: overcoming my own self-doubt. I’ve always had confidence in leading others, making decisions and meeting deadlines, but I hadn’t done the deep work of building self-belief. Starting Mama’s Hub pushed me to confront my mental health, my limitations, and ultimately, my potential.
I enrolled in a 12-month business course to build practical skills, but three months in, my sister-in-law passed away suddenly from skin cancer. It was devastating. I continued with the course, but I wasn’t fully present. It wasn’t until recently, after beginning private mindset coaching, that I truly felt ready to step back into my power and move forward with clarity and purpose.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The pros are the complete creative freedom and the joy of creating something meaningful that helps others. I also have flexibility around family life and get to connect with other parents and build a supportive community.
As for cons, the isolation and decision fatigue can be hard. There is also lack of structure (especially in the early days). I have to juggle multiple roles – from design to customer service to marketing, as well as carrying the emotional weight of being the business and the brand. It’s a constant juggle, but one I wouldn’t trade for anything.

Hopes and dreams: What next?
My greatest hope is that Mama’s Hub becomes more than just a brand – that it becomes a movement: a trusted resource and a safe space for parents navigating the messy, beautiful reality of raising children in today’s world.
In September, we’re launching our weekly Mama’s Hub Club: an evening community event where parents can seek support from doulas, lactation consultants, sleep and reflux specialists and more. It’ll be a rare opportunity for parents to speak honestly – without distractions or interruptions. A space for vulnerability, laughter and real connection.
Long-term, I hope to grow Mama’s Hub into a full lifestyle brand offering organic products for the whole family, while continuing to run in-person events that uplift and support parents. Most of all, I want new mums and dads to know they’re not alone and that gentle, informed, conscious parenting is possible, even on the hardest days.
