Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
As my two daughters have been safely packed off to the steps of university, there is only myself and my husband to worry about. I actually like the hours in the evening to ‘tidy’ everything up that I have done during the day.
The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
Most days have challenges when you are learning everything. Social media has been a learning curve and I am learning basic skills every day. Like yesterday, when we received our first order down to New World Dunedin, I spent all morning investigating the cheapest, fastest way to ship 20 kgs from Auckland to Dunedin.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
The big pro to running your own business is the freedom it brings to make your own decisions.
The cons are that you are constantly learning and evolving and when it gets tough, you have to keep remembering why you started in the first place.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
I have big plans for QueenBee Pure. One is to be stocked on the shelves of one of the top 10 biggest supermarket retailers in the world like Carrefour or Aldi, or Kroger or Walmart or Tesco… You get the idea!
