What were your biggest challenges getting your business started?
One of my biggest challenges was my own self-doubt. I constantly asked myself “Can I do this?”, “Are the products good enough?”, “Is anyone going to want to buy them?”
What I keep coming back to is to trust my intuition. I know that I can do it, I know how good the products are, and people are buying them. I decided that as long as I was keeping to my original plan to hand-produce products using the finest natural and organic ingredients, with the intention of love, the products would speak for themselves. People are giving me amazing feedback on the products, in particular the Baby Balm. It’s very rewarding to know that something I make is helping others and this gives me the motivation and confidence to push forward and expand my product range. On top of this, I have amazing support from my family and close friends who are constantly encouraging me and helping to spread the word.
What are your hopes and dreams for the future?
I started the business with the hope that it would one day be a family affair. I have a wonderful daughter and two fabulous daughters-in-law. I would love to think that at some stage in the future they may like to get involved in the business and assist with its development and growth. I know that my formulas are effective as I’ve developed them over many years and used them on my own children and my grandchildren. With my knowledge of herbal medicine, aromatherapy and life I have been able to make amazing products that people love. I couldn’t think of anything in this world that I would rather be doing. It is incredibly rewarding to be able to combine my knowledge and experiences into products that benefit others.
