The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
To be honest, the biggest challenge for me is keeping up with social media. It is such a powerful and resourceful tool nowadays, and I have learnt about and connected with so many special people – it’s so great! But being able to create a strong presence online takes time and commitment. Some days I feel I have so many things to share and say, and other times I struggle to even put my own thoughts together…so I don’t post as much as you should to bring more people in, and it becomes like a big mountain you have to re-climb.
But in saying this, I have learned my own way of using social media, and again knowing and honouring my limitations, so I share when I truly feel present and ready. I mean every single word I share and I keep on learning from other wonderful accounts out there. Because I can’t be everything and there is always room for improvement, new challenges, and new ways of overcoming them by being yourself.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
I guess cons are that you have to be the main driver for every aspect of the business, all the time. And because I am a very small new business, this means I do all of the management solo. I do have incredibly strong, wilful women that have helped me birth this business and have encouraged me to believe in the dream, and without them I wouldn’t be here, but then you have to motivate yourself and keep going, and that can be challenging sometimes.
I guess this is also the pro side of it all, because it means you have the chance to do things the way you like, with the vision that you hold, with goals that you see fit for yourself, and that’s beautiful.
You then attract the village that wants to grow with you.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
Well, the vision never stops I guess!
This last year I have been immersed in deep beautiful women’s work with the School of Shamanic Womancraft, and having had the opportunity to do this has given me the chance to cement new paths for the future, magnificent dreams of women’s work and so much more. It has showed me in a way what we already know deep within ourselves, and that is that we belong together. Women supporting women are a force like no other.
So, I am currently running Full Moon Circles here in the Mountains with a friend, and we’ve got big plans for this to grow into Seasons weekend workshops, so stay tuned.
I’m working on creating new Moon Boxes for other stages of life, connecting with more and more wonderful women out there who would like to co create and share the love.
And to delve deeper into all the things where women’s work is needed and welcomed.
And I guess I will also be mostly focusing on this little star seed that’s growing inside me, who will be joining our family in winter. I am planning an empowered, respected and loving birth space here at home with our beautiful midwife and doula, and the wisdom of an ancestral red thread that travels generations and generations before.
