Jade Dale is a naturopath, mother, and the founder of Natures Wellness Naturopathy. Her journey into holistic health began with her own transformative healing experience. Guided by a deep belief that wellness is shaped by every aspect of daily life, from how we eat to how we feel, she has dedicated her work to supporting mothers and families through the profound transitions of pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Blending evidence-based science with the wisdom of traditional herbal medicine, she brings a warm and relatable approach to the care she provides. Here, Jade talks to The Natural Parent Magazine about the passion behind what she does, the challenges she has overcome, and her hopes and dreams for the future.
The passion: What inspired you to set up your business?
My own journey to Naturopathy started with a personal realisation that so much of our health is tied to our everyday life. It’s about more than just a single symptom; it is also impacted by what we eat, where we live and how we feel.
When I was facing my own health challenges, I was lucky enough to find practitioners who didn’t just treat the symptoms. They helped me understand the bigger picture – the driving factors behind what was going on in my body. The changes I felt inspired me to study a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy.
And guess what? It’s not all hugging trees and essential oils; the bulk of the degree is a deep dive into science. We get into the nitty-gritty of the phytochemistry of medicinal plants, the complex biochemistry of the human body and the latest emerging research. We balance this with wisdom of traditional herbal medicine, and a deep understanding of how our environment influences our well-being.
Ultimately, I’m just a mama on a mission to remind you that you are not alone on this journey! Whether you have a whole village around you or you’re navigating it on your own, I’m here to walk alongside you.

The launch: How did you start out in the beginning?
Starting out, I began my studies in Darwin through online learning, but I quickly realised I needed to be in a classroom, soaking up the hands-on experience and connecting with people. So, my partner and I moved to Brisbane and after a few more years of dedicated study, I found my home at Bodicove, a Wellness & Recovery Spa. It’s the perfect place to see clients in person. But because I know how hectic life can be, I also offer Telehealth appointments, so you can get the support you need from the comfort of your own home.
The innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?
The biggest breakthrough for me was after having my son. I’ve always been passionate about the link between our gut and mental health – they’re powerfully connected through the gut-brain axis. After becoming a mama myself, I saw an incredible opportunity to support mothers through their postpartum journey using the amazing healing properties of herbal medicine.
A mother’s body and mind undergo an incredible transformation after birth, and while that journey is profound, it also requires deep care and nurturing. That’s where Naturopathy comes in. It’s about empowering you to heal and rebuild, both physically and mentally. There’s so much we can do in this space to support you.
While the initial changes begin right after birth, the journey can last for years. So please, never feel nervous to reach out, no matter what stage you’re in.

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
This year has been my favourite so far because I finally feel like I’ve found a rhythm that works for our family. It’s all about embracing the idea of Yin and Yang, the balance of opposing forces. It really comes down to this: you can’t pour from an empty cup!
Both my partner and I are intentional about carving out time for self-care, because when the cup’s full, we have so much more to give to our son and relationship. For me, that might be a quiet hour to myself to walk our dog, get in a quick gym session or just relax in a sauna. Those small moments set the tone for my entire day. I can then dive into my work with a clear head and have a later finish.
It also means our mornings aren’t a mad dash out the door with a toddler in tow. We have time to cook breakfast together and watch the birds in our garden. And on the busy days, I’ll always take a moment to stand on the grass barefoot in the sun with a cuppa to calm my nervous system.
