The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
Moving my business and starting over was challenging. I initially started in Victoria, then moving to Grafton, NSW and building a clientele all over again. I also had to stop work whenever I was pregnant because I had high risk pregnancies.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
My husband and I both run our own businesses and although financially we are definitely better off, we are certainly not rolling in money, but the lifestyle is what I love. Being able to take holidays when we want or have a day off together to have a family day is really beautiful. The biggest struggle is the constant need for something to be done.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
2024 is a year of business growth! My children are all growing and they can mostly do their school work quickly, leaving more time for Mum to build her business. This year, that includes leasing a studio space and taking on more sessions than ever before.
