How can students balance school, work and family?

At Endeavour, we understand that many of our students are working, looking after a family, and have other commitments to attend to alongside their studies. We offer a flexible timetable with on-campus, online and blended delivery to help fit in with people’s life commitments. Whether students start with a single subject, study entirely online, or need to adjust their course load, we work with people’s individual needs.

The drive: What challenges have you overcome?

As is the case with many Higher Education institutions, COVID-19 has played a big part in shaping how we conduct business these days. Despite many shifts and changes, the health and safety of our students, clinic clients, staff and visitors has remained a top priority. We have successfully been able to adjust our delivery plans to ensure their needs are met while adhering to stringent public health orders, government requirements and state-based legislation.

Interestingly, the pandemic has created an even greater spike in our already high-demand acupuncture course, as interest in traditional Chinese medicine has been steadily growing in Australia. To support this demand and to ensure we continue to offer leading edge courses, Endeavour replaced our existing acupuncture course with three new Chinese Medicine qualifications in February, including our Diploma of Health Science (Chinese Remedial Massage), Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture Therapies) and Bachelor of Health Science (Chinese Medicine). The courses have been designed to meet our students’ changing needs, with a focus on improving career and employment opportunities for graduates.

What careers do Endeavour graduates have to look forward to?

Endeavour College graduates have endless career options. Depending on which qualifications they completed, graduates can work as clinical practitioners in their own clinic or a multi-modality clinic alongside other clinicians. Many graduates are now taking their clinical practice to the client by offering mobile services as well as online using digital technology to give access to clients at a distance. In addition to clinical practice, graduates have countless non-practitioner careers available to them. These natural health specialist careers range from content creation to education to consulting and advising. With such a variety of careers available, Endeavour College graduates have the luxury of designing their careers to fit their passions, aspirations and lifestyle.

Hopes and dreams: What next?

Endeavour will continue to expand our short course offerings over the coming months. In the meantime, we’ve also embarked on a campus renovation initiative to offer re-designed student teaching, breakout and group learning spaces, digital learning hubs and modern teaching clinics. We relocated our Brisbane Campus to a brand new, bespoke location earlier this year and completed major renovations at our Sydney Campus. Renovations at our Melbourne Campus are underway, and our Gold Coast Campus is slated for renovations to be complete early next year. We’re really excited about these upgrades and purpose-built improvements, as they’ve been designed to provide the best experience possible for our students and clients.
