Rascals Launch New Swim Nappy to Help Parents Avoid the Dreaded ‘Code Brown’ This Summer

Rascals Swim Pants hit shelves following new research revealing that three in four Aussie parents are feeling anxious about ‘code brown’.

With new research showing three in four (74%) parents are feeling anxious about ‘code brown’ this summer, Rascals is launching a new nappy that promises to keep blowouts contained.

Introducing Rascals Swim Pants, every Aussie parent’s answer to the dreaded ‘code brown’. Unlike regular nappies, Rascals Swim Pants don’t swell in water and are designed for a comfortable fit when your little one is wet or dry, meaning less leaks and less stress this summer – all at a more affordable price.

Offering the ultimate protection in the water, Rascals Swim Pants are made with Triple Leak Guards to contain solid messes and a No Swell Core to prevent water absorption.

They’ve also been designed for quick and easy changes, featuring an Extra Stretchy Waistband and Easy Tear Sides for removal, meaning they can be pulled on like underwear or nappy pants for a soft and comfy fit – with a fun CoComelon print, featuring JJ & Friends.

The launch of Rascals Swim Pants follows new research1 that reveals four in five (80%) Aussie parents under the age of 35 experience a looming fear of a ‘code brown’ situation in public.

1 in 5 parents actively steer away from public swimming places, like pools and beaches, to avoid the risk of a ‘code brown’ emergency.

Looking more into general nappy habits of Australian parents, the research also revealed:

  • ‘Code brown’ is a regular occurrence for Aussie parents. 76% of parents have experienced a ‘code brown’ with 42% noting that it’s an event that happens at least occasionally.
  • Most parents consider the threat of ‘code brown’ an everyday concern, with 85% in agreement.
  • 2 in 4 parents admit to using regular nappies for swimming activities, with 22% saying this is always the case.
  • 3 in 5 parents agree that the most likely place they will use swim nappies is in a public swimming pool.
  • 1 in 5 parents actively steer away from public swimming places, like pools and beaches, to avoid the risk of a ‘code brown’ emergency.

Matthew Banfield, Chief Operating Officer for Rascals, said “We know Aussie parents are worried about ‘code brown’, so we wanted to create a reliable yet affordable solution to help ease their stress – a disposable nappy designed solely for swimming use.
