The Best NZ Life & Business Coaches All in One Place

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?

Family has always been first for me, and like every mum, my children and their needs come first. When I’m with them, I make sure I’m 100% with them – no phones, screens or other distractions. Then when I go to work, I can commit to working without feeling guilty about not spending time with the kids.

The drive: What challenges have you overcome?

The biggest challenge was overcoming my own mindset – going from I can’t do business, I know nothing about business to I’ll figure it out. And I guess that’s what keeps me chugging.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

Pros: The learning is just amazing. You learn so much about so many things in such little time, which makes you realise your true potential – all that you are capable of that you would perhaps never know if you didn’t start a business.

Cons: ‘It’s hard work’ is an understatement. The pressure to perform is great and it’s easy to succumb to this pressure.

Hopes and dreams: What next?

The “Why” behind GetCoached has always been to help individuals thrive in their personal lives so they create thriving families who become the residents of thriving communities. We’ve just started the GetCoached Free Community Workshops supported by Auckland Libraries and the idea is to make help/support and coaching accessible to all, through these free group workshops. So, we look forward to be doing more of this throughout the country.
