How would you respond?
Self esteem and self efficacy affect everything in life and it is vitally important to help nurture these healthy, positive qualities in children as well as of course ourselves as parents. In a nutshell, self esteem is about how we feel and self efficacy is more about our beliefs to carry out certain tasks. Sometimes we do or think things almost automatically and if we have heard something enough times about ourselves, that’s what we tend to believe. At our early childhood centre, Shooting Stars, these values are embedded into all we do. We also have a Facebook page which reflects our values in action. Feel free to check it out.
Through my life’s journey, I have been influenced by incredible people such as Dr Wayne Dyer, Tony Robbins, Dr Carol Dwek, Sir Ken Robinson, Dr Joe Dispenser and Louise Hay. I have been fortunate to attend many live events over the years and have always had a keen sense of empowerment putting their strategies into practice. Aside from my career in Early Childhood Education, I am also a licensed Louise Hay workshop facilitator as well as a self love and empowerment coach.
If you ever feel at your wits’ end, have a sense that you are not enough or have a desire to overcome limiting beliefs I would love to help you. Parenting can be a combination of magic along with a ‘help, what do I do now?’ type feeling. I have learnt many parenting tips after being a mum of two gorgeous girls, and, having several decades in ECE, I have a few tips that’s for sure. Every journey is different. Parenting from the heart authentically and peacefully can, even with the best intentions, be a roller-coaster ride at times. If you feel like reaching out anytime, I would love to hear from you.
I have many workshops coming up both in person and online which you can see on our Refreshingly You Facebook page or join our Facebook community group.
Visit the Shooting Stars website to find out more and follow their journey on Facebook. You can also connect with Diana through her Refreshingly You Facebook page.
