All of us have the opportunity to utilise this current crisis. We all can deeply learn, heal and put our family in a position of having and maintaining strong roots. To get there we must dig deep. Just like a tree, our roots are buried deep underground, in the dark. So too must we walk into the dark and choose: choose to give ourselves and our family healthy roots by breathing air on our original roots and allowing a different way of being.
Fear puts us in one direction, love another.
To bridge the gap we must hold space for anything that needs to be unearthed, seen, honoured, expressed and then laid down as the most beautiful fertiliser for our new roots.
We have no need to forget our original roots, to blame, or shame them. We love them, all of them, every single experience and when we honestly come from this place, we can cultivate.
Our roots truly grow when we can honour where we have been. Then from those lessons when they are learnt and integrated, we can lay the deepest of foundations for ourselves and our children.
Today, sit with your roots, spend time with them, ask them what needs to be heard.
They will whisper to you and remind you to be still, to allow expression and understanding and to choose love every single day.
May you all be cultivating love in your homes. Your hearts and your children’s will be forever thankful. Strong roots are yours to claim when you put love first.
This we do as parents, and so much more. Many blessings to you all.
