Your Fertility, Hormone & Women’s Health Naturopath

The drive: what challenges have you overcome?

As a small business owner, I wear many hats – Owner, Naturopath, Nutritionist, Social Media Manager, SEO and Marketing Manager, and even the Financial and IT departments! This has meant learning a lot of new skills. Creating my own website was a challenge, but I had a lot of fun with the creative side of it. I also had to dive deep into SEO, accounting, and tax matters more than ever before. I learned how to set up an online store and write my first eBook on Natural Pre-conception Care. I’m still working on the challenge of being consistently present on social media and finding the best ways to market my business.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

The biggest advantage is spending more time with my family and being there when I’m needed. This allows me to be more present not only for them but also for my clients. I can conduct in-depth research on a client’s case for as long as necessary, enabling me to provide better care and achieve better results. I can run the tests I deem necessary to gather the most important information and create the best treatment plan. I can also stock the highest quality practitioner herbal medicines and nutritional supplements, which ensures the best possible outcomes for my clients and their health.

Having my own business has allowed me to specialise in the key areas of enhancing fertility, prenatal, pregnancy, postnatal, hormone balancing, digestion, skin and thyroid health along with supporting increased energy, better sleep and vitality.

Its so rewarding hearing from clients who have overcome their health challenges using my natural medicine treatment plans.

The only downside is that, at this stage, I am a one-person show, which means I often work at odd hours to handle everything behind the scenes. I hope to soon enlist specialised support in social media, marketing, and administration as the business continues to grow.

Hopes and Dreams: What next?

There are many exciting offers coming up! I have just launched a collection of acute consultation options to make Natural health care with me even more accessible.

Even if you need acute support with things like low energy, lactation, constipation, reflux, headaches, sleep, anxiety or stress for example, you’ll be able to quickly access the expertise and support you need. Of course, I still offer the more in-depth Naturopathic and Fertility consultations and Packages for more complex needs like trying to conceive, supporting for and during IVF, natural Thyroid support, balancing hormones and more complex digestive concerns. It was important to me to offer a variety of consultation types to allow the benefits of Naturopathy and Nutrition at Seed and Flourish to be accessible to all.

I am also in the process of writing more eBooks on subjects like Natural Medicine for Thyroid conditions, Perimenopause and Menopause, Prenatal and Postnatal care, as well as a recipe book in the works! Feel free to get in touch at Seed and Flourish if you have a suggestion if there is something you’d like to see in my offerings.

A big project to come will be a series of Online Mini Courses you can take to find out how you can apply natural health tools like nutrition, diet, lifestyle, and herbal medicine for areas of health like improving egg quality and increasing your chance of Conception, Naturopathy and Nutritional support for those embarking on IVF, managing Hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s Naturally, and Natural medicine support for Perimenopause and Menopause. I’m excited to be able to share my 20+ years of Naturopathic and Nutrition knowledge and experience in these courses.
