This is actually a hugely empowering practice, for instead of wasting energy on what cannot be altered, you can channel it into what you have power over: your own home.
I share this from experience. I grew up in a terrified house – the energy of fear was always present and I have had to work hard at acknowledging my roots and recreating new ones based on safety.
So I know the impact of being around frightened adults. Kids feel it, sense it, sense the energy, and are powerless to do anything about it, as they are children.
They rely on the caregivers around them to give them the solid base and security and what they are exposed to as a child impacts their adult life.
So I know, I have lived it. There was no pandemic but there was enough trauma and fear around to affect my childhood and how I developed emotionally.
So I encourage you all, stake a claim on your home, decide to fill it to the rooftop with love and kindness. You all have so much power – it is time to reclaim it.
