Helping Kids Thrive in Body, Mind & Spirit

Holistic Kids

With over 20 years’ experience as a child counsellor, Rose Irranca understands that behaviour is a response to something deeper, whether that be learning struggles, a physical issue or stress at home, and that addressing these challenges can bring families back into harmony. At Holistic Kids, they are dedicated to helping kids thrive in body, mind and spirit, connecting parents and caregivers with experts such as therapists, mindfulness coaches, nutritionists and yoga instructors, to help create a loving, connected family environment where everyone thrives. Here Rose talks to The Natural Parent Magazine about the inspiration behind what she does, the challenges she has overcome, and her hopes and dreams for the future.

The passion: What inspired you to set up your business?

I truly believe all kids deserve joy, and finding that joy starts with balance in their lives. That’s where Holistic Kids comes in. We connect parents with experts like nutritionists, therapists, yoga instructors and mindfulness coaches-all dedicated to nurturing a child’s mind, body and spirit.

Our focus is through seven key areas: physical, emotional, social, spiritual, intellectual, nutritional and parenting. When we teach kids to recognise and fix imbalances early on, we give them valuable skills for life.

Kids don’t wake up wanting to have a bad day. Often, their behaviour is a response to something deeper, whether it’s a physical issue, stress at home or learning challenges. With over 20 years of experience as a child counsellor, I’ve seen firsthand how addressing these challenges can bring families back into harmony. So, by focusing on addressing an issue, we bring other components of our life back into balance, which in turn, brings us back to joy.

The launch: How did you start out in the beginning?

I always had a fascination for holistic healthcare and delved into many modalities due to my own health issues that originated when I was young.

There is an enormous number of amazing healthcare options for children. My vision is to make the sourcing process as easy as possible by creating a one-stop hub.

We are starting Holistic Kids by building a community via our socials. Here, parents, practitioners and vendors are able to connect, engage and discuss the many different holistic modalities and products.

If we can empower families to make informed choices in holistic health practices, we can create a ripple effect that leads to a healthier generation.

The innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?

Connecting with professionals! Really utilising the skills of amazing and talented individuals who can turn my thoughts into reality. I learned I need to focus on what I do best, which is build community, and let others guide me in strategy and marketing.

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?

I aim to be the best version of myself so I can role model to my children the values, beliefs, behaviours, ethics and drive that contribute to personal success. It is also about being of service to others, which I do via my volunteer work, focusing on parental rights and child safeguarding.

Doing this work brings me joy. I am grateful to have a strong family support system that enables me the time and flexibility to follow my passions.
