The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
With so many competitors out there, it can be hard to cut through. By creating a brand that truly supports, informs, nurtures and is accessible to new mums though, we have created a wonderful community that educates, informs and empowers new families. This has been a cornerstone of our values as a business.
We have also evolved from single use plastic packaging to only using packaging for our products and orders that is either 100% home compostable, biodegradable, reusable or recyclable.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
I love having a brand that I truly believe in and the friendships that have formed with our gorgeous customers and other like-minded businesses. While it can certainly be challenging juggling the business and a family, it is also very rewarding knowing that a little part of us is out there helping families across the country. We could be hugging a little one’s bum right now, helping a mumma save her precious liquid gold, or even wrapping up a gorgeous new bundle of joy who has just entered our crazy, amazing world.
I also get a lot of joy from my children being involved with the business.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
My own little one is now 2-and-a-half years old (with a newborn added to the family), so we have naturally started to move forward, beyond supporting families with new babies and evolving into a product range that also supports families with toddlers. We have a very exciting 2023 ahead of us!
