The passion: What inspired you to set up your business?
Astrology has been a passion of mine since my early twenties. I appreciate the profound insights it offers into our nature and the ways we can harness planetary influences to optimise our energy and timing. I started by creating charts for friends and confidently expanded to public readings at local markets. This journey has evolved into something purposeful, and I’ve pursued every opportunity to deepen my practice. While I’ve held other jobs, I have consistently made myself available to provide astrology charts and conscious parenting insights for those seeking guidance.
The launch: How did you start out in the beginning?
I started by creating charts for friends and family, but over the years, I have expanded to share my work with the public. This has included participating in events like the Mind Body and Spirit Expo and the Splore Festival. Once I felt truly compelled to turn my passion into a business, I created wall art that features your natal chart beautifully framed. I also designed a natal necklace that incorporates your chart laser-etched into a pendant. Both the wall art and the necklace are custom-made, making them unique gift ideas.
The innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?
I realised my biggest breakthrough was treating my work professionally rather than just for friends. I moved astrology from casual dinner conversations to attending markets and creating conscious parenting reports to help parents understand their children better.
Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
Over the past two years, I have had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with my 2-year-old daughter, thanks to my partner’s hard work with his building company. I am fortunate to have a supportive family and daycare that helps care for my daughter when I need to work and study, especially now that I am qualified to take on acute and first aid homeopathic cases as well as take on astrology readings. I prioritise spending time outdoors and ensure that wholesome eating is a top priority for our family.
