The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
Starting a small business has been so challenging while also raising a young family ourselves, particularly when life throws challenges your way – whether it be managing our own health and mental health, experiencing recurrent miscarriages, or facing challenges in my husband’s main job. It takes perseverance, but also trust that all you can do is steward the circumstances you are in as well as possible.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
Taking on a new small business at a time when the cost of living is rising and mortgage rates keep going up has definitely been challenging! It can take time to become established and reliable, and things can be very inconsistent. It has certainly had its challenges, but for us it is about faithfully stewarding our gifts, opportunities and passions. What happens after that is not up to us, but at the end of the day, we can be proud of what we’ve put in.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
We hope to continue to grow our brand and attend some markets and expos soon so even more people have the opportunity to live full and flourishing lives and give back to those in need!
