Other birth practices like skin-to-skin immediately after delivery, breastfeeding, delayed cord clamping, saving the placenta, quiet in the room and/or music playing, ‘seeding’ with your microbiome, can all be part of a gentle c-section.
Many women who choose a gentle c-section find that being more involved and part of the process which leads to better outcomes for mother and baby – similar or lower complication rates than that of traditional c-sections (source).
