The Drive: What challenges have you overcome?
I really wanted to bridge the gap between rehab exercises and conventional fitness. A lot of exercise is either pitched too easy to get a lasting result, or so hard that women have to brace their abs and stress their pelvic floor, and it ends up doing damage. Putting together a sequential program that needed to be done in that exact order took over 18 months to perfect. Each time I ran it, I tweaked it based on the feedback from my mums. Translating it to online to make sure no quality was lost was another challenge again. I ran a free beta test with over 150 women online just to make sure it was still effective! I wanted a program that went all the way through rehab to strength and fitness, so that women could run and lift and do all of those harder things too. That took a long time to build out.
I wanted to provide clear answers, clear instructions, and explain how it all works so that women can understand their bodies in relation to exercise.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
I’ve always loved running my own business, I love being creative and helping people. Trying to find the balance between the two can be tricky sometimes, and staying self motivated, particularly on the days I work from home.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
I’ve just launched the Core and Pelvic Floor program online, so my dream is to help as many women as I can resolve their postpartum issues for good. I love that once they do the program, they feel like they understand how their bodies work, and know exactly how to take care of it.
