The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
Over the years, I’ve overcome numerous challenges, from the initial balancing act of the side hustle to making the leap to full-time entrepreneurship. I’ve also faced impostor syndrome, that constant companion for mini entrepreneurs. I take each challenge as an opportunity for growth, learning and perseverance. One of my life’s defining dances unfolded when one of my children faced repeated hospital visits. Suddenly, our family’s choreography altered – quite drastically. My husband and I shifted our steps. This unexpected routine became a duet, a synchronised act. We learnt quickly that life often throws in new dance moves; it’s about adapting and swaying together.
For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?
Running my own business is incredibly rewarding. The pros include the freedom to spend time with my children whenever I need to and to be there for them more than I ever could in my corporate life. It also means I can shape my services to best suit my clients, witnessing their growth and the fulfilment of making a positive impact. However, it can be demanding, requiring a constant juggle of responsibilities and dealing with uncertainties as I said – and needing constant choreography.
Hopes and dreams: What next?
Looking ahead, my aspirations are to continue empowering local businesses and charities, and helping them to thrive. I envision expanding my reach, reaching more clients and deepening the impact that Inner Circle Consulting has. Ultimately, my dream is to be a trusted partner and the success story of countless businesses, and a help to many new businesses yet to be dreamt up!
