Empowering Families on their Unique Parenting Journeys

The drive: What challenges have you overcome?

The main challenge I’ve had is getting my business out there, so people know who I am and what I offer: building up followers on social media platforms and just building up confidence and trying everywhere that may take my brochures. It’s a difficult gig this advertising thing, when it is so very new to me. I’m not afraid of hard work when it comes to a deep passion of mine, so I will keep at it until my service is seen as the norm in society. I feel I’ve been put onto this earth for a reason, and the reason is to be a mama and the founder of Grow to Nurture – to bring about change within our society.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own business?

The big pro for me about running my own business is that I have a better life/work balance. I wanted to be there for my children. I didn’t want my work to jeopardise my choice to stay at home and be able to watch them grow and be nurtured by their own mama instead of someone else. It certainly gives you more peace of mind and better satisfaction of work I’d say. When you come from your heart space, your true desires and authentic self, you can make a massive impact upon other people. It’s not about having to go to work because you must; it’s about wanting to work and be a leader and making positive influences on others. Leaving a legacy of your life, of who you are as a person.

I can’t say I have any cons. I am a positive person and always looks for the good or learning opportunity from a challenge that may present itself. Motherhood and my little boys have given me this gift back in life that like many others I am so very grateful for.

Hopes and dreams: What next?

I am a big dreamer and will not stop. Dreaming gives us purpose in life to strive for the greater good of humanity I believe. My greatest dream is for society to make harmony with each other rather than place judgement. I believe we should embrace and celebrate all our flaws and mistakes with each other, rather than place judgement on each other. We all have a different journey and story of life, one no better than the person next to us. When we show compassion and use our heart instead of our head, which often is a compilation of limiting thoughts, that’s when we can make a difference in our community, our wider community and our society.

My family and I will be travelling Australia soon in a van and we cannot wait for this amazing life together. I know this is just the start of my journey of Grow to Nurture, however my journey will thrive in this environment of freedom, connection and presence with my family. When I can live the life of my authentic self, that’s when magic can happen, I feel, and you can really step into another person’s shoes to support them to the best of your ability.
