Essential Oils for Your Family’s Health and Wellbeing

When using essential oils for emotional benefit it will be more effective if you like the smell. Kids tend to love the citrus oils and citrus is a beautiful addition to any blend for its calming yet uplifting properties. Something like Cedarwood and Wild Orange or Lavender and Bergamot in an aromastick or diffuser can promote feelings of peace and calm in an unsettled child. As an added bonus it will also support their respiratory health at the same time!

Some people are concerned that using calming oils like Lavender or Cedarwood during the day will make them want to take a nap in the middle of the day when they shouldn’t be. Essential oils do not make our bodies do anything. They work with our bodies to restore balance and provide what we need at the time. If you have a toddler that is tired but fighting sleep something like Lavender may be just what they need to help them drift off. Yet on the other hand if you are feeling sad and low on energy, Lavender may help you to become more cheerful and uplifted. The beauty of oils!

Essential oils do not make our bodies do anything. They work with our bodies to restore balance and provide what we need at the time.

There are many ways in which essential oils can support our children and our entire family such as teenagers with sore muscles after sport, unsettled teething babies, upset tummies, mums and dads feeling a bit stressed, wound care and sore ears.

We have a deep love and respect for essential oils in our house. They make up our medicine cabinet for both physical and emotional health, and they also make our skincare and cleaning products. I would love to show you how you can benefit from these gifts of the earth too.
