The drive: What challenges have you overcome?
On a personal level, I separated with my partner and boys’ dad when I was in year four of my studies. That came with its challenges over the years but I am a more resilient, more knowing person because of it.
My children have had their own health challenges too, which required dedication to further learning and engaging in other chosen modalities to support them as a whole.
It is all life experience gained, which can be shared to help others.

For better or worse: What are the pros and cons of running your own practice?
It is rewarding to see the beneficial outcomes that follow a remedy. It’s what it’s all about!
Whether it is a subtle or profound shift, to assist someone in overcoming a condition, improving their vitality and enhancing their wellbeing is deeply satisfying.
I can be autonomous when running my own practice. Seminars, conferences, workshops and other activities provide opportunity for connecting and engaging with colleagues.

Hopes and dreams: What next?
I’m always learning; it keeps me on my toes.
I recently completed a Certificate in Apiculture and have my own beehive at home. This has been a positive learning curve and I would like to incorporate homeopathics when caring for the bees along with the organic principles I already practise.
Bees are fascinating and it’s a privilege to be a keeper of them. My name, Deborah, actually means ‘bee’, so it feels timely to be acquainted with them. Bees symbolise fertility and renewal too, so it feels apt that this aspect is included in my scope of practice.
I have curated a Beekeepers Homeopathic First Aid Kit, which includes all the basic remedies and more, for a holistic approach. I can curate a kit for any occasion, on request. I am also available online for individualised consultations, remedy prescriptions and follow-up care.
