Gentle Sleep Support for Your Little One – And You

The Lullaby Network

Founded by Megan Woods, The Lullaby Network is built on the belief that sleep support should honour both a child’s needs and a parent’s intuition. She supports families through the challenges of baby and toddler sleep with empathy, evidence-based strategies and a truly personal touch. As a mum of three and a certified infant sleep consultant, Megan uses a nurturing, responsive approach that resonates with families seeking gentle solutions. With both professional training and real-life parenting experience, she helps families find calm, confidence and better rest – one gentle step at a time. Here she talks to The Natural Parent Magazine about the inspiration behind what she does, the challenges she has overcome, and her hopes and dreams for the future.

The Passion: What inspired you to set up your business?

My journey into the world of infant sleep support began with my own experience as a mum to three young children. I know firsthand the exhaustion, the worry and the endless searching online at 2 a.m. when nothing seems to work. It was during those early years that I developed a deep interest in the science of sleep – and, more importantly, a desire to support other parents navigating those long nights. I founded The Lullaby Network because I believe no family should feel alone or overwhelmed when it comes to sleep. My passion is helping families gently find their rhythm again, with compassion, understanding and evidence-based support.

The Launch: How did you start out in the beginning?

Starting The Lullaby Network was very much an organic process, and the science of sleep has always been incredibly intriguing for me. It began with helping friends and other mums in my community. I trained formally as an infant sleep consultant with a wonderful academy, diving deep into the science as well as gentle, responsive approaches to sleep. With a background in care-giving, I gradually built my services into a business – one focused on guiding families with empathy rather than rigid methods. Everything I do is grounded in meeting families where they are and building trust every step of the way.

The Innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?

The biggest breakthrough was recognising that sleep coaching doesn’t have to be one-size-fits-all. Parents often come to me thinking they need to choose between strict sleep training and crying it out.  Realising that there’s a middle ground – that sleep can be gently supported while maintaining connection and responsiveness – transformed how I worked with families. Emphasising gentle methods became not just a personal value, but the heart of The Lullaby Network. That shift helped me truly differentiate my services.

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?

It’s a daily dance, like it is for so many parents. Some days the balance comes easily; other days feel like a juggle. But I’ve learned to embrace flexibility, set clear boundaries and be present in whatever space I’m in – whether that’s responding to a client message or sitting on the floor with my children reading bedtime stories. My work is inspired by my life as a mum and vice versa. I also make time for rest and lean into support when I need it. Balance isn’t always perfect, but it’s guided by love and intention!
